关于室内设计：
室内设计和室内装饰、室内装修室内装饰或装潢、室内装修、室内设计，是几个通常为人们所认同的，但内在含义实际上是有所区别的词义。

■室内装饰或装潢(Interior Ornament Decoration):装饰和装潢的原义是指“器物或商品外表”的“修饰”（见《辞海》第4387页），是着重从外表的、视觉艺术的角度来探讨和研究问题。例如对室内地面、墙面、顶棚等各界面的处理，装饰材料的选用，也可能包括对家具、灯具、陈设和小品的选用、配置和设计。

■室内装修（Interior Finishing）:Finishing 一词有最终完成的含义，室内装修着重于工程技术、施工工艺和构造做法等方面，顾名思义主要是指土建工程施工完成之后，对于室内各个界面、门窗、隔断等最终的装修工程。

■室内设计（Interior Design）:现代室内设计是综合的室内环境设计，它包括视觉环境和工程技术方面的问题，也包括声、光、热等物理环境以及氛围、意境等心理环境和文化内涵等内容。在家居装修中经常听到"品味"一词，品味到底是什么？词典说，品：评价、衡量。味：旨趣、意义。品味就是品尝滋味的意思。

家居应该如何装、如何修、如何饰？体现的自然是品味高低了。低者越看越不顺眼， 高者令人过目难忘， 或淡然雅韵或五味俱全都耐人寻味，其高低之间仅在于一线。故此，雅居来自设计师与业主的高境界。设计师和业主之间互相沟通了，设计师能充分理解业主的情操品格、家人喜好、职业习惯，"浓妆淡抺总相宜"的家居设计才能出现。
